Global Journal of Allergy   Commentary  A Commentary: Is Context an Important Consideration in Asthma? Asthma is a well known and high impact global health problem [1]. It shares, along with other prevalent entities, a number of not insignificant difficulties in the delivery of health care needs for it’s control [2]. From a clinical Point of view, the use of inhaled steroid medications (Clinical Efficacy measured as: No. of asthmatics patients controlled /No. of asthmatics patients treated) have proven their worth and are the mainstay of treatment in many Published Guidelines about asthma; and deservedly so. However, from a public health point of view, the clinical effectiveness of such strategies (Clinical Effectiveness measured as: No. of asthmatics patients controlled. Total No. of asthmatic patients) remains a problem around the world [1,3,4]. Many draw backs seems to exist in this over all lack of capacity to deliver comprehensive health care to asthm

Journal of HIV for Clinical and Scientific Research   Research Article   Oral Health Status and Anthropometric Conditions among HIV Infected Adolescents on Antiretroviral Therapy in Mozambique   Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (HIV infection) is considered an important public health problem in developed and developing countries. Worldwide, there are approximately 33 million people living with HIV/AIDS and in Mozambique (2009), it was estimated that 11.5% among adults aged 15–49 years were affected [1,2]. According to the National Strategic HIV and AIDS Response Plan 2010–2014, multiple sexual partners alone with a low condom usage are the main causes of HIV infection in Mozambique and contribute to approximately 24% to 29% of all new HIVinfections in the country [3]. The oral lesions associated with HIV that may occur in over half of HIV/AIDS patients are well established. Among these lesions the most common are HIV gingivitis and periodontitis [4-6],

Imaging Journal of Clinical and Medical Sciences   Clinical Image   Giant renal Cyst into Giant Laparotomic Hernia   82-year-old male patient previously twice subjected to surgical intervention for peritonitis, and to two subsequent interventions for giant incisional hernia. After the final intervention, the meshpad was removed, due to infection, but the giant eventration persisted. Eight years later, when anaemia was observed, a gastroenterology examination was performed and sigmoid cancer diagnosed. Subsequent CT scans revealed a giant right renal cyst measuring 29 × 21 cm, within the evisceration. In response, a left hemicolectomy was performed, with resection and marsupialisation of the renal cyst, and repair of the incisional hernia. The patient evolved well and was discharged eight days after surgery. http://www.peertechzimaging.com/IJCMS-1-114.php

Journal of Clinical Research and Ophthalmology   Research Article   Central Corneal Thickness in Nepalese Glaucoma Patients and Glaucoma Suspects   Intra Ocular Pressure (IOP) is an important parameter in the detection and monitoring of glaucoma. The Goldmann applanation tonometer (GAT) is the international “gold standard” for IOP measurement [1]. Central corneal thickness (CCT) has been shown to influence the pressure estimate [2], with thin corneas underestimating and thick corneas overestimating the readings [3].   http://www.peertechz.com/Clinical-Research-Ophthalmology/JCRO-1-107.php
