The Customized Forming of the Applied Post-Core System: Case Reports

Journal of Dental Problems and Solutions Case Report The high success rate of endodontic treatments caused an increase in demand for the post-core systems in restoration of severely damaged teeth. Although metal posts are the most commonly used alternatives, the metallic color and the opaque appearance of these materials lead to discoloration of the gums and the roots. Thus, non-metal posts systems could be preferred over metal posts to be used with all-ceramic crowns. Due to their superior mechanical and biological properties, CAM/CAD fabricated zirconia post and cores can be applied inside the root canal and can be supported with ceramic crowns. Hence, the aesthetic concerns could be attended quickly and with ease. This article presents the prosthetic rehabilitation treatment of two patients with severe dentin loss, using CAD/CAM fabricated post-core and zirconia base crowns . http://www.peertechz.com/Dental-Problems-Solutions/pdf/JDPS-3-131.pdf

Neonatal Teeth and Riga-Fede Disease

Journal of Dental Problems and Solutions Clinical Image A 3 week-old male presented with ulceration on the ventral surface of the tongue. His parents informed that the patient had poor nutrients intake due to pain caused by tongue ulcer. The intraoral exploration showed ulceration of 10 mm diameter enclosed with a white fibrinous layer, situated on the ventral area of the tongue and two crows of neonatal teeth located in the mandibular anterior region (Figure 1). The incisal edges of teeth were smoothened about 2 mm. During a one–month follow-up his tongue ulcer disappeared. http://www.peertechz.com/Dental-Problems-Solutions/pdf/JDPS-3-130.pdf

Identification of Novel TMC1 Compound Heterozygous Mutations Related to Autosomal Recessive Hearing Loss by Targeted Capture Sequencing

Scientific Journal of Genetics and Gene Therapy Research Article Mutations in the transmembrane channel-like gene1 (TMC1) are known to cause autosomal dominant and recessive forms of nonsyndromic hearing loss DFNA36 and DFNB7/11, respectively. Here, we characterized a 5-year old girl with severe sensorineural hearing loss. By combining targeted capture of 140 known deafness genes, next-generation sequencing and bioinformatic analysis, we identified two compound heterozygous mutations TMC1 c.1333C>T (p.R445C) and c.1765A>G (p.M589V) as the disease-causing mutations. Our results indicated that TMC1 c.1333C>T (p.R445C) and c.1765A>G (p.M589V) lead to hearing loss in this family and highlight the power of combining deafness gene capture and next generation sequencing for identification of defective genes in sporadic cases with hearing loss. This approach will facilitate identification of the mutation spectrum of all known deaf genes. http://www.peertechz.com/Genetics-Gene-

Immunity against Pasteurella multocida in Animals Vaccinated with Inactivated Pasteurella multocida and Herbal Adjuvant 'DIP-HIP'

Journal of Vaccines and Immunology Research Article Background: Haemorrhagic septicaemia (HS) is acute, highly contagious form of disease of water buffalo, cattle, and bison caused by Pasteurella multocida (PM). It is considered the most economically important bacterial disease of cattle and buffalo, .in tropical areas of Asia, particularly in Southeast Asia. PM is a gram-negative coccobacillus, belonging to Pasteurellaceae family. PM is transmitted either during direct contact or via fomites by ingestion or inhalation via contaminated feed and water. Currently, there are no broadly protective vaccines –adjuvant formulation with long-lasting immunity available against HS. Aluminium-based mineral salts such as alum are the only immunologic adjuvants. Herbal adjuvants are evaluated extensively to replace the classical adjuvants being safe and efficacious. http://www.peertechz.com/Vaccines-Immunology/pdf/JVI-2-114.pdf

Ovarian Ectopic Pregnancy after Endometriomal Cyst Resection, Following In vitro Fertilization (IVF): A Rare Case Report

Journal of Gynecological Research and Obstetrics Case Report Background: primary ectopic pregnancy (EP), with 0.001-0.013% incidence rate, is a very scarce obstetrical condition. Among EPs Ovarian EP is more rarely seen? Case: We present a case of ovarian EP following In vitro fertilization in a patient with history of endometriosis and curettage. With a primary diagnosis of tubal EP, the patient underwent laparoscopy, during which ovarian pregnancy was revealed. This was later confirmed with pathological review of the specimen. Conclusion: Ovarian EP constitutes 3% of all EPs. Diagnosis of this condition is extremely hard before surgery; therefore, laparoscopy is considered a reliable means of diagnosis. Moreover, women conceiving with IVF-embryo transfer have a higher risk of EP. http://www.peertechz.com/Gynecological-Research-Obstetrics/pdf/JGRO-2-119.pdf
